SEMIP Analysis Overview

last modified Jun 03, 2009 10:45 PM

SEMIP will perform a number of analyses comparing both models-to-models and models-to-observations.  This section contains information on these analyses as well as other related results.

Model evaluation principles and protocols

It is important to establish a framework for assessing whether a modeling system (i.e., the emissions, meteorological, and dispersion models and their supporting data sets) performs with sufficient reliability to justify its use in analysis and planning activities.  SEMIP adheres to the four principles and testing methods laid out in the following link:

SEMIP uses these principles in a set of defined analysis protocols:

SEMIP analysis results will be available in an interactive form through the SEMIP Viewer.  This is in the process of being built, but we welcome your comments.
